The studio is closed for half term, so I’m not teaching tonight.
I promised my Monday students that I’d upload something for you to do at home. So here’s the kneeling vinyasa (sequence) we practised last week. I hope you can see what my little stick people are doing!
A couple of notes: ‘IN’ means inhale, ‘EX’ means exhale. You can hold the downward facing dog for as long as you like. A nice option is to do the sequence several times, and increase the length of the hold each time to build up stamina. 2 breaths, then 4, then 6, then 8 (for example).
If you’ve never done yoga on your own before, this is a great place to start. Take it slowly and allow each movement to last the full length of the breath. Notice how much easier it is to allow your breath to lead when you’re not comparing yourself to your neighbour.
