Theo Wildcroft workshop in September

As dedicated practitioners and teachers, how do we choose a meaningful path for ourselves in the fast-evolving world of modern yoga?

Join Theo Wildcroft (with hosts Elaine Fletcher and Lucy Greeves) for an exhilarating day of learning, discussion and practice towards a new yoga map – one that will help you plot your own course between magic and science, gurus and Insta-influencers, traditional wisdom and new insights.

WHO IS IT FOR?
If you are a student or teacher of yoga, and you’ve ever asked yourself one of these questions, this day is for you:
“If the guru is bad, can the practice still be good?”
“Alignment: who gets to make the rules?”
“Why do I need such long hamstrings, anyway?”
“Do I have to choose between chakras and neuroscience?”
“Yes, but is this really yoga?”

TEACHING AND TIMETABLE
Theodora Wildcroft (wildyoga.co.uk) is a leading practitioner, teacher and researcher of contemporary yoga, whose PhD thesis on ‘post-lineage yoga’ is a pioneering exploration of the myths and realities at work in today’s yoga world. Expect a mix of talks and group discussion, asana and guided relaxation.

AM (10-12.30)
The history: defining yoga, then and now
The science: what do we really know?

PM (1.30-4)
Where science, history and ethics collide
The future: where do we go from here?
